British Collective Is Amid A Run Of North American Tour Dates With Sold Out Shows In NYC, LA and San Francisco
Group Will Add A Free Second NYC Show on June 21 For Tumblr IRL Series
Yesterday British collective Jungle made their late night TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel Live! with a performance of their single "Busy Earnin'" and, for online, a performance of new track "Time." Both songs are featured on the groups highly anticipated, self-titled debut release out July 15 on XL Recordings. The group stopped by the set of Kimmel days after their sold-out shows at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles and The Independent in San Francisco. This week the group will return to New York for a sold-out show at the Bowery Ballroom on June 18 and on June 21 a free show at The Wick for a Tumblr IRL event.
L.A. Record noted of the groups Los Angeles show, that kicked off Jungle's North American June tour run, "It's always a delight to see a band on the cusp of complete musical domination..the sold out El Rey Theatre crowd greeted the UK electro-soul outfit with rapturous enthusiasm." And it didn't stop there, in San Francisco music siteBassdownload noted of the groups first sold-out show in the area: "It was amazing to see the entire room moving and grooving, and singing aloud as if the group was well known and had been there before." The collective additionally made their way across Northern America with stops in Seattle, Minneapolis, Chicago, Toronto, Boston and Philadelphia.
Furthermore, Tumblr and XL Recordings have teamed up for a Tumblr IRL showcase that Jungle will perform at on Saturday, June 21 at The Wick in Brooklyn (260 Meserole Street). Jungle's Tumblr IRL is open to all ages and is free to the public with RSVP. Doors open at 8:00 pm.
