BULBUL: Face-Blazing New Album By Austrian Rock Acrobats Obtainable Via Exile On Mainstream

The simply flooring, incalculably bizarre Hirn Fein Hacken, by Vienna's mad rock architects, BULBUL, will be released in North America next Tuesday, June 8th, and is already available in Europe, via Exile On Mainstream.

With longtime BULBUL cohort Ollmann Brunbauer in charge of the tracking, and closing a six-year gap since their last album, Hirn Fein Hacken translates to "get your brain chopped into pieces." Created in an aged farmhouse in the Austrian backwoods, the album boils over with creativity and energetic power from beginning to end, an unclassifiable fifty-minute voyage to a place where genres are not ignored; rather they've never been realized. Aside from their customary rock backline,BULBUL utilized household instruments including tennis rackets, bicycle wheels, cooking lids and mattocks to pound out these ten stories, after which the tracks were digitally revised and reconstructed. It's just something that must be experienced, as crafting hype fodder on Hirn Fein Hacken's "sound" is just a foolhearted venture.

American Aftermath just posted a review slobbering all over the album with a 9/10 rating, claiming thatHirn Fein Hacken "is a shape-shifting beast that is ludicrously chaotic and peculiar but no less fun and exciting. The album is so thick with bizarre instrumentation and multiple sounds that repeated listens will unearth new things that the previous listen did not. It's also an album that is extremely difficult to pigeonhole and thus no review can accurately do it justice. Bulbul have a sound all their own and that's what makes them noteworthy." The Ringmaster Review called the record "insatiable and mischievous, not forgetting criminally addictive, exploration of every delicious element you can imagine to rile, ignite, and seduce the very core of the mind and senses, Hirn Fein Hacken is quite simply sonic irreverence and quite brilliant."

North American orders for the album -- the CD housed in a beautiful Holusion cover with spot gloss, and the massive 2xLP 180-gram pure black virgin vinyl -- are available via, Earsplit Distro, the sole stateside outlet to monger the vinyl, right HERE. International parties can order both versions HERE.
