Wild Beasts Share Video For "A Simple Beautiful Truth", Announce New Tour Dates

Wild Beasts' "A Simple Beautiful Truth" is the second video to be shared from their fourth albumPresent Tenseout now on Domino. The band discusses their inspiration behind the video, filmed by Klaus Thymann:

"We were inspired enough by the absurdist approach taken by Talking Heads to don electric suits and dance in the ether on the top of a Beacons mountain. We wanted to capture the weightlessness of a song like 'A Simple Beautiful Truth,' to attempt something so ridiculous as to be sublime. The experience was strangely liberating and we asked ourselves why we hadn't done this before."

PRAISE FOR PRESENT TENSE
"Lucky for us, there's no one else like them and on Present Tense, their success has allowed Wild Beasts to be even more like themselves." - Pitchfork

"It's a gorgeous record, particularly for its vocals; Thorpe's mannered falsetto and Fleming's strong, clear depths are both unusual for the indie-rock soundscape, and they've never been used more effectively, together and apart, than they are here." - Interview Magazine

"This latest track from the indie rock band's fourth album-Present Tense, which drops tomorrow-shows off the EP's blend of instrumentals and restrained electronic sounds, met with haunting lyrics..." - GQon "Sweet Spot"

"It's a fitting name for a record that confirms the British quartet's place as one of the most vital acts in indie rock." - BlackBook

"Present Tense marks a further refinement and features a band continuing to keep itself restless and uncomfortable." - Paste

"...the way Wild Beasts can't seem to play a bum note or place a single syllable in the wrong verse, makes Present Tense one of the most quietly exhilarating albums in recent memory, and all the more so for using its evocative power to unsettle and seduce in equal measure." - PopMatters

"Present Tense is their most refined work to date." - Consequence of Sound
