Have you been watching the A.V. Club's new “Pioneering" series? It just launched last week with The Mountain Goats (check out and share that episode HERE).

This week’s episode--which marks the second installment of "Pioneering"--features post-punk phenoms Protomartyr; in the episode, they travel to Ann Arbor, Michigan to celebrate the legacy of The Stooges, even covering “Down On The Street” at the Michigan Union Ballroom. Awesomeness ensues.

Each of the “Pioneering” episodes focuses on the stories of groundbreaking American musicians, as told by current-day artists. A new “Pioneering” episode will run every Monday through May 26th. The series is hosted by critically-acclaimed singer/songwriter Eef Barzelay. Next week's episode will feature Those Darlins---they'll be covering Dolly Parton, which I personally can't wait to see.
