Featuring legendary riot grrrl pioneer Kathleen Hanna (Bikini KillLe Tigre) at its helm, The Julie Ruin released their debut full-length album, Run Fast, last September. The band will release a limited edition Record Store Day 7” this Saturday, April 19th featuring special previously unreleased material. The Julie Ruin just wrapped up a national tour with Screaming Females and will take their raucous show to European stages this spring, returning to the US for several dates including Sled Island Music & Arts Festival (curated by Kathleen Hanna) and Pitchfork Music Festival.

Kathleen Hanna is a celebrated, outspoken figure at the forefront of feminist punk, and the subject of Sini Anderson’sThe Punk Singer documentary film which is now available on DVD and is streaming at Netflix. The Julie Ruin also features dream team Kathi Wilcox on bass (Bikini Kill bandmate), Kenny Mellman on keys (Kiki and Herb),Carmine Covelli on drums (actor, filmmaker and musical juggernaut) & Sara Landeau on guitar (met Kathleen mentoring at Rock Camp for Girls).

Run Fast is out now via TJR Records, distributed via Dischord.
