SACCO's debut album now streaming at Paste, spring tour dates confirmed

“…create a spacey, dreamlike sound with their music, euphoria with an edge.”—LA Record

“…we’ve found your new favourite band: SACCO.”—Monster Children

The debut, self-titled album from SACCO is now streaming in full exclusively at Paste Magazine and will be released next Tuesday, April 22on Sensibility Music. Already receiving widespread acclaim, the New York by-way-of Southern California trio was recently named a “World Café Next” artist and the music video for their song “Kerosene” premiered last week at Team Coco (view/embed here). In celebration of the release, the band will embark on a North American tour this spring, including a series of dates supporting Band of Skulls. See below for details.

Additionally, Stereogum recently premiered the band’s double music video for the tracks “Carnival Ghost” and “Driving,” calling it “delightfully spooky,” while Paste Magazine named the band “The Best of What’s Next,” praising, “the record captures that feeling of beach dazes and lite-psych hazes. Breihan and Fredericks alternate singing lead and both of them strive to create swooping melodic drones with their tenors. Beneath it, though, they unveil more ominous musical qualities like fuzz-ridden bass riffs, stoically consistent drumming and background howling fit for an experimental noise record.”

SACCO is the creative vision of childhood friends John Fredericks and Andy Breihan, formed after playing in bands together for nearly a decade (including, most recently, Guards). New member and fellow NYC via California transplant Chris Trombley (drums) rounds out the group.
