On the heels of releasing their new album, Hello Hum which MAGNET calls “gorgeous and evocative,” and fresh off of a US tour, Wintersleep has unveiled live videos for album tracks “In Came The Flood” & “Resuscitate.” Recorded during a session at Audiotree in Chicago, the video captures the band’s energy, highlighting their resonant vocal melodies and swirling instrumentation.
Wintersleep’s live performance finds the band taking on new and old favorites alike with a palpable energy from beginning to end. The band has already shared stages with acts like Paul McCartney, Pearl Jam, and Broken Social Scene, and performed live on The Late Show With David Letterman in support of their last release. Their 2007 release,Welcome To The Night Sky, earned the band a Juno Award.
Recorded during the summer of 2011, Hello Hum was released June 12th on Roll Call Records/ILG. The album was co-produced and mixed by Dave Fridmann (MGMT, The Flaming Lips) and Tony Doogan (Belle & Sebastian, Mogwai) and has received accolades ranging from Paste Magazine and MTV Hive to MSN. It’s an infectious blend of energetic, upbeat tracks and soft, subdued ballads that showcase the band’s versatility. The album is available via iTunes and all digital retailers.
