On the heels of Poolside releasing their debut LP, Pacific Standard Time, on their own label Day & Night Recordings, the duo are proud to announce their first national tour. In celebration of this announcement, the duo is now streaming the A side of their limited edition, tour-only 10" entitled "Only Everything". Previously, they released an mp3 and video for "Slow Down" on Pitchfork. It's so good that Pitchfork named it "Best New Track". Then Pitchfork followed up by awarding Poolside 'Rising', you can read the article and interview here. Be sure not to miss this party as it will be heading to your town soon.

ABOUT POOLSIDE:

Poolside is Los Angeles-based duo Jeffery Paradise and Filip Nikolic, good friends who are inspired by California, Mezcal, dancing, good food and friends. In late 2010, on a beautiful LA day, Jeffrey Paradise and Filip Nikolic were lounging next to their pool house-turned-music studio drinking and making music inspired by the summer vibes of that day. Later that night they put their first song, "Do You Believe" on their Soundcloud, and sent the link to a few friends. Within 23 hours, they had three offers from labels wanting to release it, and Poolside was officially born. What began as an excuse for two long distance friends to get together and drink by their pool, has quickly become one of the most anticipated albums of the summer.

Poolside self-describes their sound as "Daytime Disco", slowed down dance music for swimming in a pool on a hot day. Poolside's debut single "Do You Believe" was positively received, with DJs including Todd Terje and Dimitri from Paris charting it, and the press fell in love as well, Dazed & Confused praised the song for its "pop-tinged disco, brimming with optimistic vocals and retro acid synths," while NME lauded its "supremely casual decadence." The band's cover of Neil Young's "Harvest Moon" has become a staple of James Murphy's DJ sets, and "Take Me Home", from Poolside's forthcoming album was the first track on Aeroplane's recent "In Flight Entertainment" compilation. The Magician recently said that "Poolside's Pacific Standard Time is one of the top 10 albums of 2012" and the album has been # 1 on KCRW two weeks before it was even released. Poolside's "Slow Down" earned best new track from Pitchfork, and they were recently featured in Pitchfork's "Rising". The band now plays live as a four-piece, with Michael Gold, previously in the band Dazzler, on keys and Jason Pipkin on drums / percussion. Their debut album, Pacific Standard Time was released on their own label Day & Night Recordings on July 9.

ABOUT FILIP NIKOLIC:
Filip Nikolic is a Danish born producer, DJ, and multi-instrumentalist, known for his contributions in the rock, dance, and pop genres. Nikolic gained notoriety with his group Djosos Krost, collaborating with Horace Andy and John Holt. In the early 2000s, he toured the world as the bassist for the Danish pop group Junior Senior and then moved to Los Angeles, California in 2004. Once in Los Angeles, Nikolic joined the LA based band Ima Robot as a bassist and eventually, a co-producer. Filip just recently co-produced the new Bonde do Role album Tropicalbacanal with Diplo.

ABOUT JEFFREY PARADISE:
Jeffrey Paradise is a DJ synonymous with San Francisco's young, hip and ready to party scenes - he is part of the dynamic force behind two of the best dance parties in San Francisco, Blow Up and Reunited. In 1998, Paradise moved to San Francisco and became the front man for a new wave/hardcore band The Calculators with members of The Rapture. Jeff now lives in Los Angeles.
