Balance and Composure Announce Fall US Tour w/ Polar Bear Club
"The quintet knock it out of the park on their debut full-length, Separation. With accomplished producer Brian McTernan at the helm, the group's brand of well-rounded post-hardcore has never sounded more engrossing." - Alternative Press Magazine 4/5
"Separation is an exhausting practice, riddled in catharsis and grinding tension. Balance and Composure always conveyed a certain level of tribal melancholy with their past material, but they've rarely employed it with this much thought and deliberation, nor as much originality. Brilliant." - Punknews
"Separation has something for everyone and Balance and Composure fans both new and old can appreciate the variety of this album. I look forward to what the band puts out next." - Pop Wreckoning
"Balance and Composure have been creating deeply textured and cathartic songs for some time, but Separation shows they can maintain that power and progression over a 48-minute runtime. Its a stunning debut." - PopStache
"...one of the most notable releases so far this year." - Alter The Press
"Doused in several shades of angst, Balance And Composures first full-length is proof alternative punk is shaping something new." - Blare Magazine
In their relatively short time together, Balance And Composure have built one of the most loyal followings in the indie scene based on their strong catalogue of releases and relentlessly heavy touring schedule.
After self releasing their debut EP "I Just Want To Be Pure" in 2008, Balance And Composure took the next step, signing to No Sleep Records for their "Only Boundaries" EP and split with Tiger Jaw. Early parts of 2011 saw the band hit the road with Make Do And Mend, and impressed crowds with standout live shows at this year's SXSW marathon. In addition to being selected for the Thrasher Skateboard Magazine party, Balance And Composure graced the stage as one of Alternative Press' "100 Bands You Need To Know" and performed at the epic No Sleep Records party alongside many of the labels' other up and coming acts.
Their latest effort, full length debut "Separation," has just been released in the States to critical acclaim through No Sleep, and was immediately followed by a full tour of the US with dredg and The Dear Hunter, and kicking off this week (following the band's recent US dates with Touche Amore and White Wives, and news of their first ever tour of Australia this August) will set out on a tour of Canada with label-mates La Dispute.
Now comes the news that the dynamic Pennsylvanian five piece will head out on yet another full tour of the US, this time joining celebrated Bridge Nine Records artists Polar Bear Club for a string of dates stretching from September 1st through October 15th and including special guests Fireworks, Make Do And Mend, and Such Gold on select dates.
