With only a few weeks more to go until the anticipated release of Psychic Babble'sdebut full-length album, My Brother's Ears/My Sister's Eyes, the enigmatic musician is unveiling another track, this time as an exclusive stream withAlternative Press today. Psychic Babble is the musical alias of Philadelphia-based multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Colin Frangicetto. His debut LP, a 10 track collection five years in the making, is inspired by everything from The Beach Boys and Peter Gabriel to Ride and Radiohead, and is an expansive listen that distills a variety of influences into a heady concoction ranging from lo-fi bedroom confessionals to dream-pop and reverb-drenched shoegaze.
Earlier this month, SPIN.com premiered Psychic Babble's song "You Said It," describing it as meshing "bright, Cure-sounding guitar with handclaps, sunny keyboard swells, and an upbeat lyrical take on a new love." In celebration of the release of My Brother's Ears/My Sister's Eyes, Psychic Babble will have a FREE hometown listening party at Kung Fu Necktie in Philadelphia onFriday, August 5. In addition to the album being played in its entirety, Frangicetto, also an established visual artist, will display a collection of new artworks.
My Brother's Ears/My Sister's Eyes will be released August 16 on Yenta Records. The LP is available for pre-order HERE and can be purchased on limited edition blue, pink and yellow color vinyl.
