The Wombats will be taking The Postelles out as the main supporting act on their entire U.S. tour, which launches with a CMJ show on October 19th at Webster Hall in New York City and concludes at the Crocodile Café in Seattle on November 12th. The Postelles will also be playing numerous headline shows and festivals between now and the end of the year in support of their self-titled debut album, which was produced by the band and The Strokes' Albert Hammond, Jr.

The Postelles will play their first-ever acoustic show on July 26th at Rockwood Music Hall in their hometown of New York City. They're also performing at the Escape To New York Festival on August 5th (with Patti Smith, Edward Sharpe, Best Coast) and an August 27th event to benefit Non-Profit Music Unites' continued efforts to fund sustainable music education programs as part of The Surf Lodge Summer Music Series in Montauk, NY. The band will also play the Music Midtown Festival (with Coldplay, The Black Keys) on September 24th in Atlanta, GA and a few shows with Young The Giant around the festival. See below for a full listing of upcoming tour dates. More dates will be announced soon.

Formed in high school, The Postelles – comprising Daniel Balk (lead vocals/rhythm guitar), David Dargahi (vocals/lead guitar), John Speyer (bass) and Billy Cadden (percussion) – began playing shows around Manhattan when they were seniors. Rolling Stone, in fact, described the band as "sounding like the wound-up early hours of what will be a long Saturday night on the town." SPIN said: "[The Postelles] serve up a hooked-at-the-gills, head-bobbing rock'n'roll groove" while Q Magazine extolled their "sheer charm and melodies that hook their way into your synapses and refuse to let go" and Entertainment Weekly praised the band's "sunny garage-bop sound." The New York Post tapped The Postelles' "Boy's Best Friend" for its list of summer "songs that sizzle" and Time Out New York noted: "The Postelles are drenched in '60s pop, without trapping themselves in the era stylistically—flashes of '70s punk and '90s alt rock flash through their self-titled album."

Leading up to their albums release, they toured with Kings of Leon, Vampire Weekend, Interpol, The Kills and Free Energy. They've played major festivals such as Lollapalooza, Bonnaroo (twice), All Points West, and Iceland Airwaves, performed at The Who Tribute Concert at New York City's Carnegie Hall and recently supported the legendary Chuck Berry.
