ARMY OF THE UNIVERSE, ITALIAN ELECTRO-INDUSTRIAL DUO, RELEASE DEBUT ON METROPOLIS MAY 24

MOTHER IGNORANCE PRODUCED BY CHRIS VRENNA (NINE INCH NAILS, MARILYN MANSON)

PHILADELPHIA - Army of the Universe, the Milan-based electro-industrial duo who received international acclaim for their Lovedead EP and open for Atari Teenage Riot in Europe later this month, will release their debut album, Mother Ignorance, on May 24 via Metropolis Records.

Army of the Universe's debut album is far from the first foray into music for Trebla, who is a renowned European DJ under the moniker Albert Vorne. A Swiss native, he started his career as a late teen and experienced quick success with singles "Indigo" and "A Leaden Day." The catapult to prominence put him side-by-side with superstars Armin van Buuren and Paul Oakenfold. Vorne relocated to Italy and remains one of the country's most popular progressive and trance DJs.

Mother Ignorance was recorded in the latter half of 2010 in Los Angeles with Chris Vrenna (Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson) handling production. A cover of Björk's "Army of Me" is amongst the fourteen-song collection.
