I Call Fives Announce US Tour w/ We Are The Union, The Story So Far and Hand Guns

South Jersey pop-punk band I Call Fives have just announced two months of US tour dates alongside friends The Story So Far, We Are The Union, and Hand Guns kicking off June 4th and extending into early August.

Identified as front-runners in the next generation of pop-punk, I Call Fives (whose vivacity and fun-loving attitude has recently been compared to legends of their genre, The Starting Line), recently found a home on No Sleep Records just four short years after recording their first demo. Since then the band has played countless shows across the US, and have demanded the attention of their fans, genre peers and industry experts, even catching the eye of pop-punk enthusiasts in Germany, France, England and Canada after the release of their debut EP First Things First with Open Your Eyes Records in December 2008.

Kicking off 2010, I Call Fives returned to Baltimore, MD to record their second EP Bad Advice for No Sleep Records with Kory Gable of Pin Up Recordings. To gear up for the May 25th release and full US tour to follow, I Call Fives held the innovative and interactive “I Call Fives Gives Bad Advice” contest for their fans who were asked to submit their questions to for a chance to win a new and original response in the classic I Call Fives fun-powered fashion. Every Tuesday of the four weeks leading up to Bad Advice's release, the band released a response song to the winning question, resulting in an acoustic EP, I Call Fives Gives Bad Advice. Not only did this give the opportunity for the guys to release an additional four songs, but they showed us just how dedicated they were to pleasantly surprising their fans time and again.

* About Hand Guns: Hand Guns released their new album Don't Bite Your Tongue on February 22nd 2011. It was engineered by Nic Bruzzese of Man Overboard and Mixed and Mastered by Jesse Cannon. It's sold about 1000 copies to date.

* About The Story So Far: The Story So Far from Walnut Creek, CA will be releasing their new full length "Under Soil & Dirt" on June 21st 2011. The band has done countless West Coast Tours with everyone from Set Your Goals, This Time Next Year, to small runs with Second To Last and The American Scene.
