Capitol Music Group recording artist A FINE FRENZY will perform "Come on, Come Out" the joyful second single from its debut album, One Cell in the Sea, on "Late Show with David Letterman" this Wednesday, February 6th. And A FINE FRENZY aka Alison Sudol will make her national morning television debut on CBS' "The Early Show on February 23rd.
A FINE FRENZY was named an Editor's Choice for "Best New Artist" in the iTunes Best of 2007. One Cell in the Sea entered Billboard's Top Heatseekers chart at #3 last year and quickly climbed to #1 before crossing over to the upper half of The Billboard 200. "The melodies on this debut are breathless…imbued with piano swells," said Entertainment Weekly. "Such attention to the dramatic works wonders on stripped-down tunes like 'Almost Lover,' which lets Sudol's delicate voice take center stage." Paste awarded the album four stars and Vogue recently featured Sudol. The band's iTunes Live Session was released in late December.
A FINE FRENZY has performed on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" and "Last Call with Carson Daly," toured with Rufus Wainwright and Brandi Carlile and contributed exclusive new tracks to the Sondre Lerche-produced Dan In Real Life soundtrack and Starbucks' Stockings By The Fire compilation. Sudol's music has been heard in "One Tree Hill," "House," "The Hills" and "Big Shots" and she performed the album's first single, "Almost Lover," on the season premiere of "CSI: NY." (She also made her acting debut in the same episode.) Dates will be announced shortly for a spring headlining tour of North America.
