Italian experimental electronic band JoyCut announces US tour dates

“Sounds like: A future where robots and humans share organic meals and feelings of hope.” – MTV Iggy

"This is an electronic music with a dark edge, with a psych edge and massive beat with the huge added bonus a real live, sweating, sweltering drums" - Louder than War

"...unbelievably sprightly, uplifting, and beautiful.” – The Stranger

“At school you didn’t answer to questions about classical authors. You were not interested in participating. You preferred to remember all the epic epithets. You saw beyond the walls of your class. You never remembered your classmates’ names. During school assemblies you used to abstract yourself until you forgot to be alive. The keeper found you standing up alone. It was not cold. In the pockets of your jeans you were keeping chestnut’s leaves and ladybirds.”

JoyCut looks and sounds very attractive on stage. Two drummers sitting face to face and a guy with machines, both a conductor and author in between them. Electronic, post-rock and dark-wave, often experimental but accessible.

For fans of Fuck Buttons, Library Tapes, Harvey Milk, John Maus, Matthew Dear, Neon Indian. Chris Haughton, Eric Carle. Shameless, Homeland. Christina De Middel & Anthony Goicolea. José Mourinho.

Italian praise for JoyCut:

"An interstellar journey, almost completely instrumental, the confirmation that a band is able to evolve freely, without misrepresent its origins, its style, its own conception of music composing." Nerds Attack

"Truly a good record. A standing-ovation record." Rockerilla

"An ambitious record, refined and irresistible. Mission accomplished." Il Mucchio

"If pure energy is what you are looking for, you can find it in here." Il Fatto Quotidiano

"If I could close my eyes, open them up and be awaken from the daily numbness with this kind of music, the entire existence would be very much different." DaGheisha

"The result is a record among whose notes is beautiful to get lost." Rumore

"Next time the DEA will bring up to date the more addictive drugs' list, I am making a petition on change.org in order to place at the first entries pistachios and JoyCut's records."JustKids

"An excellent work, electronic sounds melt with a dose of space rock and ritmic attitude, a record that can draw "psychedelic" dance listener near to it." Alias

"Is it possible for a not too fond for the band listener feel thrilled by an almost entirely instrumental record? Absolutely. Evidence is provided with the hypnotic PiecesOfUsWereLeftOnTheGround." AsapFanzine
