Since the release of their eponymous debut album in 2012, Escort had released a handful of new singles, each more irresistible than the next! The band has returned with the new If You Say So single package, to be released onOctober 21 via Escort Records. Written with MNDR, "If You Say So” melds the funkier side of ‘70s AOR with Escort’s own aesthetic of classic dance music into a bleach blonde head nodder.
If You Say So single B-side is a dazzling house take on St. Vincent’s modern classic “Actor Out of Work”. Featuring the soaring vocals of Adeline Michèle the original is transformed into a shimmering, punchy masterpiece.“Actor Out Of Work” (St. Vincent Cover) premiered with Stereogum and is available to post and share HERE.
Escort burst on to the scene in 2006 with a string of critically acclaimed future classic 12"s. In an era where dance music is dominated by samples and computers, Escort has developed a reputation as one of New York’s most compelling live acts by taking a sprawling ensemble to the stage to perform their elaborate recordings. Founded by Eugene Cho & Dan Balis, Escort features an incredible cast of musicians fronted by lead singer Adeline Michèle. Performing in a variety of powerful party line-ups, the band performs live from a core 5-piece (with Adeline on bass) to a 10+ member extravaganza. Don’t miss the “disco orchestra” live in NYC 11/22 at Brooklyn Bowl!
