Turn To Crime Shares New Track Off Can't Love (Out July 1st On Mugg & Bopp Records/Old Flame Records)

"it sounds like it's from another time, rollicking along somewhere between doo-wop and greasy drifter-rock with a swaying, offbeat sunniness." - The FADER

"'it cops a steadily pounding rhythm and bluesy post-punk bluster out of the Lou Reed/David Bowie/Iggy Pop playbook. Consider it the gospel according to Turn To Crime." Stereogum

About a month ago, Detroit band Turn To Crime shared the first track, "Sunday's Cool,"from their debut album, Can't Love (out July 1st on Mugg & Bopp Records/Old Flame Records). Today, they follow up with "Forgiveness," another excellent track that showcases lead man Derek Stanton's expert blending of guitar, drums and vocals. Stanton originally wrote "Forgiveness" after moving home to Detroit from NYC and says of the song:

Forgiveness is crucial to happiness. Holding a grudge is like carrying a stone in your heart.  I had to learn to forgive people for their actions, for their mistakes... for my own good. In New York, amongst millions of people, everyone stepping on each other, there is a sense of anonymity, which seemed to numb the pain of getting stepped on. In a smaller town, where everyone knows each other, when you get stepped on you tend to feel it more. At times you need to learn to forgive yourself as well.
