Originating from the remote northern depths of Fort McMuarry, Alberta, UNTIL DAWN has been able to prove that their distant location will not slow them down. Mixing down-tuned modern metalcore and classic heavy rock and metal influences, brothers Luke and Deke Worrell, with Darren Ehler, Adam MacLeod and Steve White, have created a sound appealing to both young and old fans alike.

See what the press is saying about Horizon:
“Stellar production job…In the future, expect to hear UNTIL DAWN echoing through McMahon stadium when the Stampeders battle the RoughRiders.” – Decibel Magazine

“Blasting the listener with heavy riffs, melodic twin-leads, hammering double kicks, and vocals that flirt between tough-guy growls and smooth melodic crooning, UNTIL DAWN can kick some serious arse, particularly when they fire all cylinders. With a good label behind them, and a decent producer, UNTIL DAWN could possibly rise to the ranks among As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, and Unearth.” – Powerplay Mag UK

“Alberta’s UNTIL DAWN have unleashed their impressive sophomore melodic death metal album Horizon. Containing thirteen tracks of driving tempos, diverse vocals and melodic guitar riffs, the band has grown and taken a huge step in progressing. This is a tight affair where the songwriting has been analyzed and every riff and melody is utilized to its full effect.” – About.com: Heavy Metal - Drago’s Dungeon: July 2013 - The Month’s Best Unsigned Metal Bands

“A fine example of melodic modern metal, very accessible and likeable, quite radio-friendly but without compromising the aggressive side.  Actually this release is one of the best of this genre, and I include metalcore here, that I have heard this year.” – Metal Titans

Since the release of Horizon last August, UNTIL DAWN is enjoying great success from their hard work and determination. The band has had several tracks in steady rotation at Rock 97.9FM, including their new single ‘This Fallen Fortress’ (Horizon was named #4 of 2013 at the station). Horizon also reached high numbers on the Canadian College charts, CMJ charts (debuted at #27 on CMJ Loud Rock), and several station charts (#19 on Top 20 for August 2013 and #10 on Top 10 during September 2013 on Canadian College Radio charts). Horizon was also named one of CKCU 93.1FM’s (Ottawa) Top 50 Albums of 2013.

‘This Fallen Fortress’ is available for listing (and viewing) via several related videos, including a fantasticmusic video (keep an eye out for the unique theme… the band traps their day-selves so their musical selves can take over), a stunning lyric video, and a guitar tutorial.
