Metsatöll to Tour North America This Autumn!

Metsatöll will release their new album Karjajuht this Tuesday May 27th in North America via Spinefarm Records. (Purchase at Amazon) In support of their album, the band has announced that they will be returning to North America this fall.  Metsatöll will be on tour alongside Eluveitie and Tyr.  The tour is set to kick off September 9th in Baltimore, MD and wraps up in New York, NY on October 22nd at the famed Irving Plaza.  A list of all dates can be found below.
The album, which came out on March 7 2014 in Estonia, was welcomed beyond expectations - 5000 copies of the usual CD, limited CD and vinyl were sold within the first few months, making this
the most successful Estonian album of Universal Music.

Although there are no gold or platinum record definitions in the local market, then based on results of record selling numbers of neighboring countries, this number could easily receive the status of a platinum record. This is also why honorable awards were handed over to Metsatöll by Universal Music Baltics at the opening party of Roundsound studio - the new home studio of Metsatöll.

Marko Atso, drummer and manager of Metsatöll, thought that the
awards came as a pleasant surprise: "Our latest album "Karjajuht"(Pack Leader)has been the fourth release for us in collaboration with Spinefarm Records and Universal Music. The co-operation has always been smooth and it is mainly because of the record label's professional work and support that Metsatöll could establish these kinds of results. It's great that this
milestone was put into frame for us - we can now proudly put the awards on the walls of our new studio."

During this summer, the band will perform at many open-air concerts and
festivals in Estonia and Finland.  Metsatöll was forced to re-locate their studio and rehearsal rooms due to the re-construction works of Telliskivi Loomelinnak. The new improved studio was opened in the same section at Telliskivi 57 (entry from courtyard). In addition to modern technology and professional crew, the client also gets to use an apartment with all conveniences.

Owners Marko Atso and Keijo Koppel are inviting musicians who need help with recording their songs to visit the studio: "We will help with everything from choosing guitar strings and drumheads to artwork and album issuing. If necessary, we will produce backgrounds for your songs. There is no need to worry about equipment as we have all things required". Yesterday there was a get-together to celebrate the opening of the studio. Fans as well as co-operation partners, musicians and others interested were there to congratulate Metsatöll.
