The Black Moods Hit The Road In Front Of New EP Release

THE BLACK MOODS HIT THE ROAD WITH MIDWEST AND SOUTHWEST
DATES PLANNED IN FRONT OF KILLERS IN THE NIGHT RELEASE

Phoenix, AZ --- The Black Moods will hit the road for the month of May in front of their upcoming EP release Killers In The Night (July 15).  The run begins May 7th in Indianapolis, IN at The Rathskeller and wraps the 31st in their home state of Arizona at the Prescott Festival.  A complete itinerary follows below, with June dates to be announced shortly.

Like Arizona based artists the Gin Blossoms, Jimmy Eats World and The Meat Puppets, the trio follow their footsteps out of the desert with repertoire in their hands that has a timeless sensibility.  Singer Josh Kennedy, bassist Ryan Prier and drummer Chico Diaz have delivered a wealth of songs that exhibit great melodies and a pure vintage attitude.  The Black Moods are raw rock and roll, reminiscent of the way it was back in the day where everything had a little bit of tube growl sweating off vinyl LPs.  Singer and guitarist Josh Kennedy offers, "I feel like we are an emotionally driven 70's Rock 'n' Roll band. We just happen to have grown up in the nineties. We have a clear vision of the music we want to create, and it is reminiscent of a more classic rock style.  I hope when people come to a show, or hear an album, they sense feeling, emotion and intensity."

The band has found success in both the Southwest and Midwest since forming over the last several years.  Both bassist Ryan Prier and singer / guitarist Josh Kennedy grew up in Wheaton, Missouri.  As they completed High School, the duo made the move to Tempe, AZ where they met drummer Chico Diaz and the line-up of the band took flight.
