Conveyor Announces Double LP Prime - Download The New Single & Remix Premiered on Tiny Mix Tapes and No Fear of Pop Yesterday!

Brooklyn's Conveyor Release Double LP Prime Out July 15th on Gold Robot Records - An Original Score for George Lucas' 1971 Sci-Fi Classic THX 1138

Download and share the album's lead single "Theme I" premiered on Tiny Mix Tapes & Remix by Monster Rally premiered on No Fear of Pop yesterday! - https://soundcloud.com/goldrobotrecords/sets/conveyor-theme-i-edit/s-Ein2c

"Theme I (Edit)" is the first cut off of Prime, a long-playing record written and recorded by the Brooklyn based quartet Conveyor. The music on this record was composed and performed alongside two midnight screenings of George Lucas' THX 1138 (1971) in December 2013 at Nitehawk Cinema in Brooklyn, NY. The bulk of the recordings were subsequently captured live on the 3rd of January 2014 at the Silent Barn in Brooklyn, NY.
Other elements of the two December performances such as lighting effects, costumes, and set design are not represented here, and so this record should not be taken as a permutation of either of those two events but as a discrete object in and of itself. Prime comes at an odd time in the lives of those who have participated in its construction and occupies a borderline frustrating amount of space, and yet as a concept it remains inviolable and pure, denoting a way forward which we have no choice but to pursue.
"But both Conveyor’s original (which might be seen as a spiritual remix of sorts) and Monster Rally’s remix are steeped in the moody atmospherics of a mid-century version of the future. The faded horn sounds and marching drumbeat lock Conveyor’s piece decidedly to 1971, and Monster Rally’s version seeks to tear this apart in an almost classically dystopian fashion, seeming to disintegrate and recombine with every percussive flourish." No Fear of Pop

"The LP is an extreme left turn for Brooklyn four piece Conveyor, whose previous releases are fuzzed out, pastoral rock and roll. “Theme I” begins tightly coiled, translating the neurotic, noisy environment of Lucas’s future Earth into seismographic waves." Tiny Mix Tapes
