THE OVERSEER are giving fans another preview in the form of standout track “Scarlet Wool.”
While the Arkansas hard rockers have developed a well-deserved reputation for their heavily textured, experimental and at times atmospheric hard rock, the new track shows
THE OVERSEER isn’t afraid to throw a curveball. “With ‘Scarlet Wool,’ we wanted to just write a fast rock song, so that's exactly what we did,” explains guitiarist/vocalist Darren King. “There aren’t many bells and whistles, and it’s bookended with the rawest thing we've ever put on an album. Drums, bass, guitar, vocals – it’s A ROCK SONG!”

Much like the band itself,
Rest and Let Go, is bursting with life. It’s a fearless, ferocious album that bubbles with urgency and vitality. It’s ironic, then, that the album centers so intensely on the polar opposite: Death. “It kinda creeps its way into everyone's life at some point, and it found a way to creep into our record,” says King.
