THE FEELING Triumphantly Returns to the US... New Album Out Now!

THE FEELING
Triumphantly Returns to America
With Release of Fourth Album BOY CRIED WOLF

With the release of their celebrated fourth album BOY CRIED WOLF (BMG) this week, UK’s perennial altpop songsmiths THE FEELING have returned to the US with a resounding amount of applause.  Already deemed as “the album of their career” by their home country’s seminal publications Q and Sunday Times, Boy Cried Wolf is creating quite a stir across the pond.  Coinciding with the release, VEVO premiered the video for “Fall Like Rain”, the final video to their trilogy that includes videos for “Rescue” and “Boy Cried Wolf”, telling an abstract tale of alienation, life and surviving.

Heralding the US release date, Idolator proclaimed, “The fourth time has proved to be a charm for the UK quartet.”  Baeble premiered the acoustic video for “Rescue”, lauding that the song “screams Elton John…  If [lead singer Dan Gillespie-Sells] could reach another half octave he'd be the next Freddy Mercury.”  American Songwriter got in on the action too with their premiere of the acoustic video for the heart-wrenching ballad “You’ll See”.  In its overwhelmingly positive review, My Social List marveled how the “myriad of rich and textured instrumental passages” created by all five members place “emphasis firmly on the transformative power of words and music combined”, capturing exactly what makes Boy Cried Wolf so special.

Written, recorded, and produced by The Feeling, the band were able to create the album on their own terms and the result is not only a  return to form for the band who was the #1 played artists on UK radio in 2006 but a second breakthrough with this widely-celebrated album. Looking back to the making of Boy Cried Wolf, Gillespie-Sells says that the best thing about it was that “we were just in our little bubble again. There was this sense that there wasn’t any pressure on us now to be anything other than what we are.” Combining emotional urgency with the sheer joy of a huge hook has always been the calling card of the best soft-rock; with their new album, the Feeling give great feels.

BOY CRIED WOLF was released on February 18, 2014 via BMG.  The Feeling are vocalist Dan Gillespie-Sells, bassist Richard Jones, guitarist Kevin Jeremiah, keyboardist Ciaran Jeremiahand drummer Paul Stewart.
