LOS ANGELES, CA, February 24, 2014 - Nashville songstress Lilly Hiatt will hit the road this week for dates with Shawn Colvin, Rhett Miller and The Grahams. The tour, which will kick off on Tuesday, February 25 at the legendary DC-area music hall The Birchmere, will take Hiatt throughout the East Coast and wind its way down to SXSW where her band will join her for several shows. Hiatt will perform solo acoustic sets featuring songs from her lauded 2012 debut, Let Down, as well as premiere new material which she will record this spring for her sophomore album on Normaltown Records.

Hiatt's first album, Let Down, produced by Doug Lancio (Patty Griffin, Jim Lauderdale) and released in 2012, introduced an exciting new singer/songwriter and had press singing her praises. CMT Edge remarked: "Hiatt's seamless debut fortifies earthy and ethereal narratives with sharp storytelling. Youthful restlessness leads the journey... Her new collection boasts wild diversity. Hiatt moves between country-folk and gnashing Crazy Horse-style rock 'n' roll with an ease." Alt-country mainstay No Depression said: "Hiatt knows how to turn a phrase and compose songs that seem quite simple on the surface... but as they grow on the listener you find the depth in these American tales," while New Slang exclaimed: "Hiatt, daughter of the great John Hiatt, certainly proves the old adage that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. And at this point in her career, she certainly has all the makings to become as revered as her father."

Hiatt is excited to get back on the road and unveil her new songs. "I can't wait to share a tour with The Grahams and see what kind of adventures are ahead," Hiatt said. "It will be great to meet new faces along the way, and learn what each city has in store for us."

Following the tour, Hiatt will head into the studio in May with Adam Landry (Deer Tick, T. Hardy Morris, Sallie Ford) to start work on her second album.
