Special Explosion Shares New Track "Hide" via SPIN   The Art of Mothering EP Out 2/25/14 via Topshelf Records   February & March US Tour Dates Announced

There's something significant about February 25th for Seattle's Special Explosion.  Not only is that the date that the young band previously opened for Deerhoof and played the Experiece Music Project's Sound Off! (the premier 21 and under battle of the bands) but it's also the release date of their much anticipated debut EP The Art of Mothering on Topshelf Records.   Today SPIN premiered the track "Hide" off the upcoming EP, saying of the band, "Even if the emo revival could be argued to be as much of an media-driven inside job as a tangible phenomenon, some of the music it refers to is worth the fuss.
