SICK/TIRED: Chicago Hardcore/Grind Act Signs With A389 Recordings
Band Added To Label Bash Sideshow

A389 Recordings this week confirms the signing of Chicago's SICK/TIRED to the label's continually-expanding roster of rampant auditory hostility.

Unloading a punishing brand of low-fi grindcore with rabid hardcore and punk influences, SICK/TIREDwas founded in 2008, formed by ex-members of modern brutality specialists Weekend Nachos and '90s powerviolence/thrashcore activists MK Ultra. To date they have released multiple records on labels including Profane Existence, To Live a Lie, Cowabunga Records and others. In 2011, they parted ways with their original vocalist and added A. Jennings from Winters in Osaka, the lineup currently rounded out by bassist Kirk Syrek, guitarist Ben Gonzalez, and drummer Adam Tomlinson. This lineup shift resulted in their most intense material to date, exemplified in a review by Grind And Punishment, who described SICK/TIRED's May 2013-released King of Dirt LP as, "boldly striding face first into a tornado of glass shards. It's a maelstrom of whirling slivers intent on rending your flesh, a vortex of unremitting insanity... This is simply one of the best records I've heard in years. It's absolutely everything you can ask for in a grind album." Just behind the LP the band also disbursed their most recent recordings with the Manufactured 7" which just hit in September.

Now a part of the A389 tribe, SICK/TIRED will culminate their most unhinged, by-the-throat works to date, planning to record a new LP for the label for release in the Summer of 2014.

A389 today also confirms the first in a series of sideshows for the label's tenth anniversary Bash in Baltimore, Maryland in January. This newly-confirmed sideshow will take place at Sidebar, Saturday, January 18th, and will showcase sets from Ilsa, Like Rats, Sokushinbutsu (ex-Eddie Brock), andSICK/TIRED, a matinee show preceding that evening's main event. The rest of the Bash will include a one-off reunion from Bloodlet, the reunion of Integrity's Systems Overload lineup, All Out War, Infest, Haymaker, Noisem, Full Of Hell and tons more, in addition to other sideshows to be confirmed.

SICK/TIRED is also confirmed to storm Maryland Deathfest in May with more live updates on the way. For now stream/purchase all of SICK/TIRED's releases to date now a Bandcamp RIGHT HERE.
