After The Smoke has shared a new video for "Moments" (please post & share), the latest single from the Microwaves mixtape, out 12/4 on EKOMS. Stereogum calls the video a "hallucinatory clip" and is hailing the song as a "reality-bending R&B-informed track" that "calls to mind OutKast’s deep funk slow jams and Madlib & MF Doom’s richly twisted Madvillainy LP."
ABOUT AFTER THE SMOKE:
Behind a glass of bourbon whiskey and tinted shades is an artists that spends most of his nights writing dark romantic ballads about past girlfriends and future exes. After The Smoke is the hazy recording and performing moniker for jamaican born, Tallahassee based artist Rob Coin. Sonically, After The Smoke is an experimentalist that effortless jumps between hip hop, electronic and p-funk to take his lovesick listeners on a journey. Working with in house producers, Soft Glas and Day G, After The Smoke is raising above the noise and delivering a sound that has been missing from artist today.
ABOUT EKMOS:
EKOMS is an independent label and creative collective founded by Daniel Cardenas and Rob Coin. Based out of New York City the label functions as a multi faceted brand that produces music & visuals across multiple platforms. EKOMS' do it yourself mentality has helped them create a self-sustained movement fully controlled and created in house. EKOMS is progressively redefining what it means to be an independent label.
