RAWHIDE: Swedish Death Punk Miscreants Stream New Track At Cvlt Nation
|
Today, Swedish death punk miscreants, RAWHIDE, bring you a true audio beating by way of "Cut You Down," now streaming via Cvlt Nation.
The gritty number comes courtesy of the band's Murder One full-length. Recorded in 2012 at Sunlight Studios together with producer legend Tomas Skogsberg (Hellacopters, Backyard Babies, Entombed etc.),Murder One embraces the band's adulation of classic punk, rock, sleaze and all things deviant with ten tracks of earnest, bar brawling bedlam made of blood, guts, beer and tainted ladies.
Heavy Metal Time Machine gushes, "In essence it takes a certain amount of deviant behavior, or even repressed feelings of social and economic disadvantage, to hang with these Swedes on a daily basis so those who might be leery of the old adage, 'When you lay down with dogs you're bound to get flees,' should probably keep on walking. As for everybody else though? Well, you can pick up this beer-drenched and hellbent for heavy metal collection of punk right now." While Metal As Fuck notes, "I honestly can't think of an album I've heard all year that is as much fun as Murder One... It's a get-you-going-in-the-morning record, it's a party disc par excellence if you're looking to slap something on the stereo when you bring a load of pissed-up cretins back from the pub...." Adds Cvlt Nation, "These Swedish death punk hellions know how to put audio rage into your coffin and bury you in groovy breakdowns that will bring you back to life!"
Follow RAWHIDE straight into Hell with "Cut You Down," now playing at Cvlt Nation HERE.
Spawned over a decade ago by guitarist/vocalist Robert and Captain Twofinger, RAWHIDE tips its pints to the teachings of Motörhead, Turbonegro, Gluecifer and GG Allin. Following three self-financed demos, 2008's Plenty Ain't Enough compilation, and two 7"s - the Built To Blow and the Branded For Life, which Exclaim! fittingly crowned, "a grinding assault of barreling punk rock 'n' roll injected with enough malicious metal to ensure there's even more danger, intensity and cacophony than one would typically expect" - RAWHIDE is filth incarnate.
Murder One is out now via PATAC Records digitally and in wax format in a limited run of 350 (100 red/250 black). For ordering info, point your browser HERE.
