Montreal-based musician and producer Miracle Fortress (aka Graham Van Pelt) has offered two more tracks, "Seabird" and "Tropic of Canada," from his collection of unreleased bonus singles available for free mp3 download here. The band recently wrapped up an extensive North American tour with electro-pop duoJunior Boys, and have announced additional dates for their forthcoming European tour including overseasfestival appearances and performances at this year's Pop Montreal and Halifax Pop Explosion. Lauded byPitchfork, Nylon, and Exclaim! among others, the band continues to support their sophomore LP, Was I The Wave? on Secret City Records (Diamond Rings, Plants and Animals).

Van Pelt worked on a great deal of material during the three year lapse between Was I The Wave? and the Polaris- Prize nominated debut, Five Roses. "Seabird" and "Tropic of Canada" were written concurrent withWas I The Wave? towards the end of 2010," Van Pelt explains. "To those who attended any of the Miracle Fortress performances around that time, you might remember my performing these songs by making use of a looping pedal to build up the vocal harmonies heard in these arrangements." This is the second pair of bonus singles to be offered for free mp3 download following the album's release, the first two, "Gestures" and "Possession" were made available in late June.
