"It's a dream come true,” says UK-based synthpop siren NINA, specifically about her direct supporting gig for Erasure's tour dates this September. But she could very easily be talking about the buzz surrounding her recently released EP MY MISTAKE on Aztec Records. Kicking off in dance music capital Miami, FL on Sept. 12th and playing a handful of dates on the southeastern quarter of the US, Nina will round out her US tenure with a time spent in NYC and Los Angeles before heading back to the UK. "I've been wanting to tour the States for a while now, and I'm glad it finally materialised at the right time," she says eagerly. "I've never travelled around the States before, so I'm very excited to discover some new cities."
Hailed by press on both sides of the Atlantic, Nina's mercurial ascent has been astonishing while also bubbling under the surface. Called "moody disco at its finest," by MTV Buzzworthy, her Stateside debut has been patiently predicted by Huffington Post who wrote, "Your new chill-pop chanteuse obsession has arrived." "Most of my fans are based in America and I can't wait to connect with them at the live shows," Nina adds. "The support I've had from them has been incredible so far. I get inspired from American artists all the time, so I know I will have a great time and will be looking at collaborating with some artists while I'm there, as well as filming my next video."

About her slot on Erasure's tour, she explains, "Erasure is one of the bands I grew up listening to and their sound is an inspiration to my music today. Andy [Bell, vocalist] is such a charismatic performer and Vince [Clarke, synths] is such a visionary producer. I can only look up to them and learn. It's an honour to support them on their US tour and hopefully meet some of their fans. Watching them performing on stage every night will be such a treat!"
With a striking, ethereal voice that breaks through synth beats and programming like a hot knife through butter, Nina's music is the perfect balance of chillwave disco and her sultry and piercing vocals. Featured on Hugo BossHUGO Tracks compilation that marked 25 years of HUGO as well as a Pecadillo Films trailer, the single "My Mistake" was plauded by Pitchfork who zoomed in on her "radiant vocals, cast in a shadowy distant vibe, with bright, oscillating synth work that isn't a million miles away from Chvrches' own Depeche Mode-isms." Telling a tale of speed and abandonment that carries on the theme of live fast and die young , the winsome b-side "Dark Rider" swirls in midnight dance beats and atmospheric swaths of icy synths. Rounded out with two remixes - one by Bright Light Bright Light who ups the ante injects some of his trademark club beats to the track; and the other a big thumping take by Big Black Delta, the EP is the perfect follow-up to last year’s epic debut EP We Are The Wild Ones which helped cement Nina as an artist to keep an eye on, and prompted Huffington Post to liken her to "Lana Del Ray meets Robyn". This track was also featured on the hit SyFy series Being Human.
