Watch Bear In Heaven's "Autumn" Video & Catch Them On Tour; Time Is Over One Day Old Out Now!

Bear In Heaven are currently on tour in North America in support of their new album, Time Is Over One Day Old (out now on Dead Oceans/Hometapes). They've previously shared album singles "Time Between" and "Autumn" as well as an excellent video for "Time Between" that was directed by Nick Bentgen and band members Jon Philpot and Adam Wills. Today, the band is excited to share another fantastic visual statement for "Autumn." Created by Peter Burr and John Lee along with Carl Burton, the video invites viewers into a trippy, black and white, lo-res world. "The new Bear In Heaven video is how the band should be soon - digital tripscapes washing over our collective informational trash and squalor," say directors Peter and John. Using 3DCG looped through distortion and some various "what nutz," they tried to explore the space between the pixels; the pregnant pause of failure between the lub and dub of ones own heart. It's the perfect counterpoint to the hi-fi clarity of Time Is Over One Day Old, an album that presents an expert study in contrasts. Watch the "Autumn" video and check out the full list of tour dates below.

PRAISE FOR TIME IS OVER ONE DAY OLD:

"Melding the gravitas of majestic, slowly unfolding anthems with punk's cut-to-the-chase brevity, Bear In Heaven has created vibrant, defiantly imaginative music"
NPR Music

"The album alternates between revving synths and drifting melodies, and between two lyrical ideas: outer space and inner travel. It's an accessible brand of art rock that often gets the band compared to fellow Brooklynites like the National, Grizzly Bear and the Antlers."
The New York Times' T Magazine

"Time Is Over One Day Old skillfully balances an armful of touchstones, from synth pop to post-rock to kraut, prog and noise."
Interview Magazine

"On its fourth full-length, the Brooklyn group hit the sonic sweet spots of post-punk revivalism"
Boston Globe

"The resulting work is the band's tightest release yet, cathartic and moving."
Red Bull

"Featuring billowing waves of syrupy synths, reverb-addled guitars, rubber room basslines, and unconventional but generally danceable live drums all orbiting around the gentle tenor of leader Jon Philpot, this Brooklyn trio thrives in that sweet spot between poppy and freaky, accessible and alien: Call it Top 40 on Uranus."
SPIN

"'Autumn' is unabashedly psychedelic, driving its modal drone and chant-like melody deep into your brainpan, resplendent with synthesized/effected sounds to fill up the headphones"
Under The Radar

"Bear in Heaven's music has always been impressive in a technical sense, but rarely has it offered such emotional clarity."
Wondering Sound
