This past weekend, Detroit native GRiZ was pretty busy in LA. Before his main stage set at Hard Summer on Saturday, he woke up early Friday morning to go into KCRW's studio and lay down an incredible funky set with a live band behind him on the 'Morning Becomes Eclectic' show. This performance was his radio debut, and he brought along a big ole bag full of funky surprises. During this set, he premiered a brand new track, "A Fine Way To Die," and the addition of more live musicians on top of his own sax playing really brought his style to life, so definitely check it out below.

The New York Times called GRiZ "the most crowd pleasing DJ" at Hudson Project a few weeks ago, and he will surely bring the same energy to his upcoming shows, as he travels across Canada and then makes his way back to the US for several festivals, including Electric Zoo in New York, where BlackBook included him as one of their '3 Acts Not To Miss at Electric Zoo 2014.' Clearly, GRiZ is an artist to pay attention to this summer, so be sure to catch him when he comes through your area.
