New Single ‘Just A Beautiful Day’ Available on iTunes in
One Week!
DANKO JONES is pleased to announce that they
will perform two shows in the U.S. this September in celebration of their new
album, Rock And Roll Is Black And Blue, which hits
stores in the United States on October 9th. The band will make
a stop in Phoenix, AZ on September 26th at Pub Rock (sponsored
by KUPD) and another stop in Las Vegas, NV at the House of Blues on September
27th, both stops including performances by Hoobastank and Hyro
da Hero. The band will later embark on a European tour starting
mid-October, and more U.S. dates will be announced shortly for the fall.
The story of Canada’s most misunderstood band will finally
be told! DANKO JONES will release a new biography book,
entitled Too Much Trouble, on October 1st internationally.
The biography is written by Stuart Berman (editor at Toronto’s Eye Weekly,
regular contributor to Pitchfork, and author of This Book Is Broken: A
Broken Social Scene Story). This oral history features exclusive interviews
with a huge cast of punk, indie-rock, metal, movie and media luminaries,
including Elijah Wood, Ralph Macchio, Lemmy
Kilmister, Dizzy Reed, Jello Biafra, Marty
Friedman, and more. Together, their quotes form a unique, incisive and
often hilarious narrative chronicling the struggles and triumphs of the
hardest-working band in the biz.
DANKO JONES recently released a brand new track
entitled ‘Just A Beautiful Day’. The track is available for free download atwww.rockandrollisblackandblue.com.
The website also includes information on the new album pre-order. The track
will officially go on sale via iTunes the week of September 10th.
A video ‘Just A Beautiful Day’ is set to be shot in New York in early
September. Directing will be the Diamond Bros. who were responsible for all
three music videos done for the previous album and who also were behind the
band’s recently released DVD documentary, Bring On The Mountain.
