Amanda “Fucking” Palmer released Theatre is Evil, her first new studio album in four years, worldwide September 11, 2012 via her own 8ft records. Recorded in Melbourne with producer John Congleton, the album debuted at #10 its first week in the Billboard 200. It additionally charted at #3 on the Alternative Charts and #2 on the Independent Charts.

Revered by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, TIME Magazine, The New Yorker, NPR “All Songs Considered”, SPINRolling Stone and many more, the new album is her first time working with a full band: The Grand Theft Orchestra, featuring Michael McQuilken, Chad Raines and Jherek Bischoff. Palmer is known for freely sharing her music with her community. Amanda also launched her new phone app today, which will help realize another long-standing fantasy: to help members of the Amanda Palmer community locate each other geographically, so that they can connect offline as well as on the web. Designed by Fame House using the Mobile Roadie platform, the app also allows users to upload and share photos and comments, enjoy music and videos, and keep up with the latest Amanda Palmer feeds from her blog, Tumblr, Twitter and Instagram.
