My last mass email was somehow blocked by gmail, so I have decided to make my newsletters less graphic intensive & fancy. Sorry if that is disappointing but this is email, not art class. What can I say? I am beyond blown away by the feedback we have received for Hello Cruel World. Dedicating my life to music has of course been a roller coaster, and it feels good to be having so much fun doing what we do and being recognized for our work. Hello Cruel World is in stores now, you can hear it streaming in full on the Old Kentucky Blog,listen/buy on Bandcamp, or just pick it up directly from Fake Four. If you are on the fence check out some of the glowing praise its recieved around the blogosphere. There have been some surprisingly great and informative interviews in Alarm Press, Scratched Vinyl, and Above Ground Magazine. We also recieved favorable press from Vibe Magazine, 2dopeboyz, Potholes in My Blog, Impose, Exclaim,MischkaNYC, The Westword, Pitchfork, the Skinny, Allmusic, and more. This week we will premiere the video for "Immortality" by indie sci fi artist Lando from Decadence Comics, be on the look out for it, its an incredible animation about the modern quest for immortality.

US Tour:

Sole and The Skyrider Band are setting off to the west coast in August and doing the rest of the country in September. We have made a lot of changes to our live performance compared to what we were doing in our early noise rock era... it's tighter, more dynamic and you can understand what I'm saying. The Denver Westword recently gave a very favorable review for our album release party live performance. Here is the trailer for the tour. We set up an official Facebook event for the entire tour here. East Coast/Southern/Midwest dates will be announced soon, but for now here are the west coast dates:

We dropped Nuclear Winter 2 back in June, if you didn't get a free copy of that you can get it here. It received a very favorable write up on Brooklyn Vegan. This free mixtape features B. Dolan, Mac Lethal, Time, Pictureplane, Kool A.D., Busdriver, Bleubird, K the I, Evangelist J.B. Best (pedestrian), Cadalack Ron, LuckyIAM, Buddy Peace and Greencarpetedstairs. A few weeks back I thought I'd make a belligerant song about Casey Anthony, you can hear it here.

Other than that I have redesigned the store at soleone.org. I recently created a digital boxed set containing every mansbestfriend record,78 songs in all, for $20. I also put out a new sole "post human" shirt. If somehow you missed it I also dropped Mansbestfriend 6 "Radioactive Rain" back in May for $5 stream/buy here.

Lastly the 187 Ultra monthly series continues. On August 18th we are bringing out MPC Legend JEL of anticon. Peep/share the facebook Event here. Jel will be sharing the stage with Otem Rellik & Real Magic.
