What people are saying about Blitzen Trapper:
Spin Magazine raves "part Pavement, part Grateful Dead, part Neil Young, these North Westerners' sound is a tasty rock 'n' roll Jamba Juice, and live they're spot-on: singer-guitarist Eric Earley leads frenetic, fist-pumping jams and somber acoustic ditties, often back-to-back."Rolling Stone praises the band's "ambling acoustic guitars, warm harmonies and vocalist Eric Earley's ragged growl" and devotion to "radically rearranging [their classic American music,] scuffing it up and refitting it to serve their own purposes." The San Francisco Weekly goes on to say Earley "has the kind of musical ability that looks effortless from the crowd, a clear hankering for variety in his musical repertoire, and a knack for storytelling that would surely make [desert] island time fly."
