Based in Austin, Texas, Loxsly's beginnings can be traced back to a barn outside of Waco, Texas where Cody Ground began to home record songs with keyboards, samples, saxophones, and other instruments around 2000. Two albums later, they are releasing their new EP Flashlights, drawing on influences such as Spoon and Beulah. They also planned a small tour to support. After the release of Flashlights, they are working on a full-length album and a music video (directed by guitarist Garrett Johnston) to follow.

Previous praise for Loxsly:
Loxsly's Flashlights EP floats higher and lighter, abetted by pedal steel on opener "Lamprey Eels" and piano on "Chopper," showing the quintet's maturity since 2006's Maps and Organs LP.
- Austin Chronicle
Loxsly’s driving mid-tempo rock is tinged with a slightly more haunting charm reminiscent of My Morning Jacket and The Flaming Lips, remaining experimental only when called for.
- Flagpole Magazine
Each of the four catchy indie pop nuggets is a joy to listen to, and will have you tapping your toe and humming along in no time.
