Long Island's Blameshift is preparing to hit the road this summer for their sophomore run on Vans Warped Tour. This year the band will be playing select dates in late July on the Shiragirl stage. The band just finished their 6th national tour on the Ready!Set!GO! with No One Goes Home and Nude.
A perfect blend of thrashing guitar riffs, melodic choruses, and high-intensity screams, this band's live performance is unmatched. Blameshift released their first national record, The Test, May 1, 2007 with support through F.Y.E. stores. Produced by Michael Birnbaum and Chris Bittner (Coheed & Cambria, Straylight Run, The Sleeping), Blameshift's refreshing sound quickly started getting the recognition it deserved.
Months before the release of their full-length album, Blameshift already landed dates on the Vans Warped Tour 06. The rockers have since shared the stage with Bullet for my Valentine, ZebraHead, Paramore, Senses Fail, and many others.
Within a month of releasing the record, Blameshift left it all behind and committed to non-stop touring from coast to coast. Their already established nation wide street team nearly tripled in size, creating the grass-roots fan base that will ensure the bands longevity. They also scored sponsorships from Crunk Energy Drink, Sullen Clothing, PRS Guitars, Bogner Amps, GHS Strings, and Paiste Cymbals.
The eco-friendly band recently renovated their touring machine into a vegetable oil running van. "As the summer approach we realized gas was really going to effect just how many dirty hotels we'd be staying in and how many 99 cent jr. cheese burgers we each could afford. Saving money is one thing, but also knowing that you're doing something to give back to out planet is amazing. We support a lot of great causes, and after playing Los Angeles a few times, we realized going green the first small step in helping an enormous problem." Explains Tim Barbour of Blameshift.
"D.I.Y. to the core! Blameshift, who appeared in issue #229, have booked and promoted their own U.S. tours, establishing an impressive fan base along the way." – Alternative Press Magazine
