Tunng Announce US Tour / Reveal New Video!

Critically acclaimed London folktronic collective Tunng announce a debut US tour in support of the release of their third LP, Good Arrows, out this fall on Thrill Jockey. Kicking off in Brooklyn, NY at Union Hall on October 23rd, Tunng will embark on a coast to coast tour, playing in notable venues such as the Mercury Lounge in New York City, Empty Bottle in Chicago, and Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco before closing out the tour in LA at Echo on November 6th. In addition, Thrill Jockey is also releasing the group's sophomore album Comments of the Inner Chorus this October for the first time here in the US.

"Tunng evoke the hallucinatory feel of Sgt Pepper while nodding to Ian Brown and Four Tet's Kieran Hebden." - The Guardian

In anticipation of the album release and US tour, Pitchfork Media revealed the exclusive first look at the new video for the groups single "Bullets" directed by Tom Haines. Featuring the band orbiting the planet in a satellite constructed by objects such as musical instruments, sporting equipment, stuffed animals and slot machines (among the many others) the video captures the creativity and energy that is the very essence of Tunng. In addition, Tunng has also been featured on both NPR's "All Songs Considered" and KCRW's "New Ground" here in the US and are widely acclaimed in their native UK, Good Arrows receiving four star reviews in Uncut, Mojo and The Guardian and NME gave the album a 8/10 of their own.

Formed in 2003 by Mike Lindsay and Sam Genders, Tunng's sound is a unique blend of acoustic folk, delicate electronics and pop melodies. Now the band - whose line-up has grown to include Becky Jacobs, Ashley Bates, Phil Winter, Martin Smith and Dave Lewis-Floyd - are continuing to push their musical boundaries. Weaving each member's individual talents into one seamless whole, Tunng is creating music that's cohesive, forward-thinking and experimentally groundbreaking.
