Dirty Vegas: from Grammy to Emmy, Billboard Dance Summit, new album & DVD - USA TOUR !!

Grammy award winning songwriter, singer, founder and guitarist, recording under Dirty Vegas' Steve Smith has settled in his new hometown of Massachussettes, where he will launch his solo album to a housewarming audience of 100,000 people at Harvard Square when his band will headline the annual street festival on October 7th, before flying straight to Las Vegas to premier the opening night of Billboard Dance Summit.

That goes well with the title of his new album 'This Town', which features Anthony Saffery (Beck) , Actor Jon Savage (Deer Hunter/Hair), Terry Barber a counter-tenor from the NYSO, Jay Ungar the principal violinist for James Horner (Titanic/Legends of the Fall) and Rob Swift (X-ecuitioners/Quincy Jones). The result is a collection of songs that blend folk/rock and electronica, and Steve’s craft of songwriting that fuses all those styles together.

Oh and did we mention the Emmy nomination?! 'Late nights and Street Fights' from the new album was the title song of the Fox TV series Standoff & nominated for an Emmy last week.

Steve Smith recently wrote the score for "The Boys & Girls Guide to Getting Down," a 2006 film about clubbing in Los Angeles, released this month on DVD with a CD soundtrack mixed by Dirty Vegas that Film Threat calls: Infectious.

Check out his accoustic performance on NECN, and look out for Jay Leno's coverage of Harvard Square, or catch Dirty Vegas DJing and performing at a near you.

His crowd pleasing appearance at the V Festival & sold out gigs across the country rencetly a telling sign things are getting very Dirty these days!
