singer DANA FUCHS Shines in ACROSS THE UNIVERSE - OPRAH/GMA Launch Film

As one of the stars of the new Julie Taymor film, Dana Fuchs is mesmerizing in the role of Sadie. Her phenomenal voice can be heard throughout the film, performing iconic Beatles tunes from Oh, Darling and Dear Prudence to Why Don’t We Do It In The Road? and Don’t Let Me Down. Perhaps her most exceptional performance, set against the backdrop of the film’s pivotal moment, is the poignant Helter Skelter.

Across the Universe is an original movie musical springing from the imagination of renowned director Julie Taymor (Frida, Titus, and the Broadway smash hit musical "The Lion King") and writers Dick Clement & Ian La Frenais (The Commitments).

Dana is part of a first-rate cast, sharing the silver screen with legends like Bono and Joe Cocker, as well young stars Evan Rachel Wood and Jim Sturgess, among many others. Surreal British comedian Eddie Izzard also makes an appearance.
