Trashlight Vision hits the road

The NYC-based four-piece Trashlight Vision, fresh off a U.K. tour swing, will be heading out to begin their U.S. tour run in September (see full tour date list below). Following a headlining date in New York City, TLV will take part in the Ghouls on Parade Tour, which also features Wednesday13, Antiproduct and Creature Feature, and is slated to visit seventeen markets in October.

Trashlight Vision will be touring in support of their new album, “Alibis and Ammunition,” which was released on Rock Ridge Music on July 10th. The album features 12 tracks of turbo-charged rock that is both uncompromising and in-your-face. Formed in 2004 by former Murderdolls member Acey Slade, the band sports a Guns ‘n’ Roses-meets-the-Misfits vibe proudly on its tattooed sleeve, and they are driven to bring New York City-style punk rock back to the forefront.

The first single from the album, “Allergic To You,” is included in the soundtrack to the game Stuntman: Ignition which was released by THQ Games on August 28th. The game is available on the following platforms: PC, Playstation 2, Playstation 3, PSP, Nintendo Dual Screen, Nintendo wii, Nintendo Gameboy Advance, Gamecube, Xbox, and Xbox 360. The game involves players in the world of death-defying Hollywood stunt driving.

Prior to signing with Rock Ridge, the band embraced the DIY approach by screen-printing their own merch and flyering their own shows. Also prior to signing, Trashlight Vision had already completed three UK tours on their own and with no label support. They have played on three continents (Asia, Europe and North America), and shared the stage with everyone from Backyard Babies to The Buzzcocks.

Dubbed “rude, reckless and loud… tattered eyeliner rock ‘n’ roll” by Metal Edge Magazine, the band has also had the Village Voice call their sound "raw, dirty and uncompromising; a lethal, intoxicating blow of crunch and color, leading the next wave of rock with a blistering yell." The Philadelphia City Paper praised their live show, saying: “After watching them rip and rock through an hour’s set… I was spent. Better than meth-sex.” And Rodney Anonymous of the Dead Milkmen said: "If the Dead Boys grew up around the corner from Three Mile Island, they would be Trashlight Vision."

Trashlight Vision is: Acey Slade (vocals, guitar), Steve Haley (guitar), Roger “Rags” Segal (bass), and Jonny Henrich (drums). The band can be found online at www.trashlightvision.com and www.myspace.com/trashlightvision.
