MORIBUND RECORDS NEWS!

We are proud to announce a slew of NEW SIGNINGS to the MORIBUND arsenal. Guaranteed, all these sonic terrorists will uphold the label's proud legacy of evil, and are equally committed to their respective visions as we are to the label's own vision.

AVSKY
Quickly making a name for themselves with two demos in 2006 and an album, Mass Destruction, earlier this year, screw-you Swedes AVSKY craft some of the most hate-filled and rocking black metal this side of...well, Craft. But rest assured, AVSKY will soon be on the tongues of the faithful early next year with their MORIBUND debut – lock and load, explode! More insight: www.avsky.tk

BROWN JENKINS
Dagonite, the debut from enigmatic Texans BROWN JENKINS, was originally self-released as a limited-edition CDR. This five-song monolith opens new gates to the stygian otherworld whereby droning staccato black metal collides with tranced-out ambient doom, creating a Lovecraftian realm of aural horror, the layered waves of distorted textures channeling unspeakable darkness. Following the path laid by domestic dark stars Xasthur and Leviathan, Dagonite breathes cold air into the US Black Metal scene! More insight: www.777starshine.com

CORPUS CHRISTII
Terrorizing the underground for a decade now with a bevy of well-received releases, Portuguese cult CORPUS CHRISTII makes its long-awaited domestic debut with Rising. Wave after wave of razor-blade violence flows through the willing listener, helplessly entranced by crypt-dank riffing and pulsing battery. Ripping and raw yet cold and catatonic, Rising is grim black metal par excellence, a sterling example of finding exciting ways to expand cult-inclined orthodoxy! More insight: www.corpuschristii.com

GRIM BANE
Canadians GRIM BANE feature one Ace Gestapo Necrosleezer, former bassist of the legendary Blasphemy. Those expecting totalitarian war commands will be in for a surprise, as the so-far-clandestine GRIM BANE specialize in unremittingly grim, colder-than-a-coma black metal that reminds of the earliest Norwegian masters as well as more recent works by Satanic Warmaster and Baptism but with a burning spirit all its own. Expect a full-length assault of grimnity early next year!

IN MEMORIUM
Having already released the well-received From Misery...Comes Darkness through MORIBUND in 2005, Seattle dark-metallers IN MEMORIUM have signed on with the CULT for two more albums. If said album is any indication, expect epic and bewitching metal songcraft and, of course, the incomparable throat of erstwhile Abazagorath/Stahlmantel frontman Nihilist! More insight: www.inmemorium.tk

NECRONOCLAST
Drifting and shape-shifting, NECRONOCLAST creates horrific, nightmarish visions through some of the most sorrowful black metal ever created. Appropriately titled, The Plague oozes into the listener’s subconscious via violent mood swings in tempo and texture, depressively hypnotic melodies and dissonant passages, with vocals truly being tortured into infinity. “Suicidal black metal” has a new master, and its name is NECRONOCLAST! SPEKTR
Notorious in the underground for their first two records, mysterious French duo SPEKTR will have their latest Mescalyne MCD released in North and South America via MORIBUND. Wickedly warped and contorted, Mescalyne is one of those perverse pleasures capable of unsettling your mind whilst simultaneously enriching your spirit – a heaving hybrid of raw black metal and harsh industrial ambience pulls the listener into a deep vortex of swirling energies where all is one and one is all. Somehow the creators bind disparate sounds seamlessly to deliver a unique, atypical work of stringent, structured obscurity. All you need to do is allow it into your bloodstream…
