GIGAN signs with INDEX ENTERTAINMENT

Florida’s GIGAN has signed a multi-album deal with INDEX ENTERTAINMENT. Formed by guitarist Eric Hersemann (ex Diabolic, ex Hate Eternal), GIGAN’s concept consists not only of aggressive-intelligent speed, cosmic soundscapes and technicality, but a visual feast, as well. Magick influenced psychedelia will undoubtedly be a lyrical focus in addition to songs inspired by misanthropy and the supernatural. Completing the GIGAN lineup is Randy Piro (ex Hate Eternal) and Grover Norton. GIGAN have tapped producer Sanford Parker (Minsk, Rwake, Pelican) and Volume Studios in Chicago to record their as-of-yet untitled debut album.

Commenting on the new material, Hersemann had this to say: “The "Footsteps of GIGAN" EP is only a mere glimpse into the GIGAN universe and serves as a gateway to the eventual sounscapes to be unleashed on the new album. You can expect at least eight new songs each with their own personality and color. GIGAN is always evolving so each release is an important step for us musically and creatively. I am especially looking forward to working with my old pal Sanford again; he has an uncanny knack for bringing extremity and pschedelia together seamlessly, so I feel he is a perfect individual to capture GIGAN's collective imagination in the highest quality possible.”

A February 2008 release date is planned. For more information on GIGAN visit www.giganmusic.com.
