The Erol Alkan rework of Tame Impala’s ‘Be Above It’, off their Grammy-nominated album Lonerism, is available to purchase today. The influential London-based DJ, producer, and label head has pulled the track apart, turning the acid up to eleven and raising the roof to previously unfathomable jacking heights.
The track is available both digitally and as a white-sleeved, one-sided limited edition 12”. Get it via iTunes, Amazon, or your local record store.
Last week, Tame Impala were nominated for their first Grammy, in the category of Best Alternative Album. This surprise nomination came just days after the band swept Australia’s ARIA Awards, taking home 3 of the major awards on the night – Best Group, Best Rock Album, and Album Of The Year.
Tame Impala would like to thank the Recording Academy for the nomination, and congratulate the other fine nominees in their category.
The Grammys will be held on Sunday, January 26th 2014, and televised on CBS.
