Oxford-based Lewis Watson makes music that emanates warmth and sincerity. Hot on the heels of his critically acclaimed Four More Songs EP, and hitting the iTunes Top 10 with all four of his EPs, he releases his new Some Songs With Some Friends EP today via Warner Music.
Some Songs With Some Friends sees Lewis interpreting some of his favorite songs joined by friends. On“Colorblind,” an ethereal track with powerful pop vocal harmonies, he enlists Irish duo Hudson Taylor. “Droplets,”meanwhile, is a touching, beautifully harmonious oeuvre on which his & English songstress Gabrielle Aplin’s vocals intertwine atop sincere acoustic guitar.
Produced by Mike Crossey (The 1975, Arctic Monkeys, Foals, Jake Bugg) and Richard Wilkinson (Lianne La Havas, Adele), Some Songs With Some Friends also features a re-recorded, re-mastered version of single “Even If.”
Lewis Watson has developed a thriving fan base in his young career, praised by PAPER for his “glimmery folk […] that brings to mind the Avett Brothers, Fleet Foxes & Mumford & Sons,” and hailed by BBC Radio 1 & The Independent. He also recently played to sold-out audiences in both NYC & LA.
Stay tuned for more news from Lewis Watson coming soon!
