Air Zaïre Releases Original Single 'Sanibel' feat. Patrick Baker
Air Zaïre's previously released tracks reveal the producer's constant muse--his hometown of Miami. Despite his new Brooklyn area code, it's obvious he's never lost touch with the hedonistic lifestyle Florida so often conveys. Nowhere is his inspiration more obvious than his first original single, "Sanibel"--named after a barrier island off the west coast of Florida with white sandy beaches, clear blue ocean and a breathtaking abundance of seashells.
Almost immediately, guest singer Patrick Baker's whisper-like vocals hypnotize, suggesting "We could get lost / Fly away, girl / We could slow it down / On an island for just me and you."
Earlier this year, the infectious track made a brief debut as the opener in a recent podcast for The Vibe Guide. Today, fans everywhere can rejoice in its official release and daydream about whisking that special someone to a far away destination.
In May of 2012, Florida native Air Zaïre traded in warmth and waves of the south for a chance to expand his music career in New York City. In just over a year, the Brooklyn-based DJ/producer has amassed a loyal following with his infectious nu disco edits featuring velvet-y R&B vocals by the likes of Janet Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Avant. His tracks have been supported byGoldroom, Le Youth, Zimmer, and more.
