Kaiser Chiefs have announced that they will release their fifth studio album, Education, Education, Education & War on April 1st, 2014 via ATO Records and MapleMusic Recordings. The ten-track collection was written in London, Los Angeles and Nashville, recorded at The Maze Studio in Atlanta, Georgia and mixed at Electric Lady Studios by Michael Brauer (My Morning JacketColdplay)  with producer Ben H. Allen III (Gnarls BarkleyAnimal CollectiveDeerhunter).

Songs including "Coming Home", "Misery Company" were introduced in various guises during the band's 2013 live shows including the Lollapaolloza Festival in South America, London's Hyde Park and during their giant homecoming show at Leeds Arena in September.  "Misery Company" was called "a dark, Clockwork Orange whirl" by The Guardian, while Q Magazine's recent in-studio piece found the band "at their indignant best". The record shows an evolution in maturity of songwriting and sound, and deftly executes a wide array of the bands influences.

Leeds based, Kaiser Chiefs are one of the most successful rock bands of the last decade. They have released 4 albums which have amassed millions of sales worldwide. Their last album in 2011 saw the band developing a bespoke method of release, in which fans could choose 10 out of 24 tracks they had recorded in order to create their own version of the album - earning Kaiser Chiefs the Q Award for Innovation, and two D&AD awards in Cannes for creativity. It was recently announced that Ricky Wilson, the band's front-man, was chosen to be a coach on the UK's version of the wildly popular, TV show The Voice, alongside Will.I.Am, Kylie Minogue & Sir Tom Jones which airs there on BBC ONE.
