SCUM OF THE EARTH Remix Contest Hosted By Acidplanet.com Set To Launch September 13

SCUM OF THE EARTH (@scumoftheearth) is teaming up with ACIDPlanet.com to host a remix contest giving fans the chance to create their own new version of one of the tracks from their newly released THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT album (Goomba Music, Inc., with distribution through eOne in North America).  Beginning Thursday, September 13, the contest featuring the song “Zombie Apocalypse” will be launched by SONY through their SONY Creative Software division.

The Grand Prize winner will receive:

·         ACID Pro 7 (a $599 value)
·         FIve Standard Collection Loop libraries (a $299 value)
·         Assorted SCUM OF THE EARTH swag from band mastermind/singer/guitarist RIGGS

A video for the album’s first single, “The Devil Made Me Do It III,” was recently released and can be seen here: http://bit.ly/PuFe2H.  It was shot in Ft. Lauderdale, FL at The Native Village, which is where part of “Jackass 3D” was filmed.  Directed by Tim King (SOiL bassist and Director of A&R at Goomba Music, Inc.), viewers get exactly what they expect (and more) from SCUM OF THE EARTH, including live snakes, RIGGS in an alligator pit, zombie voodoo girls, fire breathers, lots of blood, and wild animals.

Since its release, THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT has been racking up rave reviews:

“The third album by Scum of the Earth is loaded with stomping riffs, evil-disco beats, horror sound bites, and distorted vocals that reek of zombie...’Pray’ and ‘Via Dela Rosa’ offer serpentine guitar licks that sport real venom.”
--Jon Wiederhorn, Revolver, September/October 2012

“…the new Scum Of The Earth jams.  Because, in truth, THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT is a goddamn good time, in an acid-edged, slasher-by-strobe-light sort of way.”
--Daniel Lake, Decibel, October 2012

“Ten tracks of chaotic rapture…THE DEVIL MADE ME DO IT will certainly be the soundtrack to Halloween parties, goth clubs, horror films, fight scenes and The Walking Dead...”
--Terrance Pryor, Fakewalls.com, July 27, 2012
