"sound[s] like The XX transplanted to a Californian beach on a balmy night" - NME

Love Inks is a minimalist dream-pop outfit from Austin, Texas who have received accolades for their no-frills approach to songwriting. Imbued with raw emotion, sexuality, and splashes of electronic color, their music focuses on the vocals of Sherry LeBlanc, whose rich and evocative voice croons and confesses the boundless and individualistic experience of love.

2011 saw the debut release of the bands' premiere LP 'E.S.P.' released through Italian imprint Hell, Yes Records (led by one-time Crocodiles drummer Marco Rapisarda). While 'E.S.P.' told the story of grappling with loss, grief, and unsurmountable heartache, 'Love Field' was written while the band was on the road, inspired by daydreams and the patchwork of nostalgia which plays over in our minds. In a way, 'Love Field' is a testament to moving on; of new beginnings.

Having shared the stage with artists like The Blow, YACHT, Real Estate, Galaxie 500, Dirty Beaches, Tanlines, and Male BondingLove Inks will be hitting the road this Fall to celebrate the release of their forthcoming LP. To celebrate, the band releases the official video for their debut single, "Do You Wanna Fall In Love" - a candid confession of adoration taken straight from the pages of a diary.

Love Inks are Sherry LeBlanc (vocals), Kevin Dehan (guitar), Derek Brown (bass), and James Jones (percussion).

Keep watch for more Love Inks announcements coming soon!

"At once frisky and worn down, Sherry LeBlanc's delicate, unadorned moan gives her Austin dream-pop trio a summer mixtape contender"
SPIN Magazine

"Within the spines of these songs, however, are feelings that whatever happened before can be escaped, like they never happened. You get this very calming feeling, in these silky, dance pop gems - not unlike those of Tennis, Summer Camp and Cults, of the new breed popping up these days - as if you're going to be alright."
Daytrotter

"The trio...masterfully crafts infectiously mellow dream pop that's far lighter than these song titles might suggest"
 NYLON

"Consider us wooed."
Paper Magazine

"Warm bass lines, analog drum patterns, calm, understated guitar melodies and the evocative vocals of Sherry LeBlanc comprise all that Love Inks needs to telegraph its subtle, affecting M.O. That is to say, love—or the pursuit of it—need not be something to be shy about."
Magnet Magazine

"Filled with heavy, beautiful moments, tender love songs and depressive jags...Singer Sherry LeBlanc’s voice is so rich, but calm and quiet, bolstered by intricate guitar work and a steely drum machine for a backbone"
FADER Magazine

"One of the most infectious pop singles of 2011"
Gorilla vs Bear ('Blackeye' video premiere)

"It's a pretty little understated thing. Short, simple songs songs driven by an spare drum machine beats, with Sherry LeBlanc's warm, inviting voice right there up front...a lovely Sunday Morning kind of album."
Brooklyn Vegan
